Place is owned by Dr. E.J. Ashley, DVM of Danville, Ga., and is listed
under the Corporate Trust of Oak Hill Feed Lot, Inc.
Dr. Ashley was the first black veterinarian in the State of Georgia to open a private practice. He was appointed veterinarian of the Atlanta Zoo in 1981and became one of only two black veterinarians in the United States, at that time. Dr. Ashley also began the first internship program in the City of Atlanta for minorities through the Tuskegee Institute's program for Veterinary Medicine. Since then, he has provided over thirty years of service and dedication to veterinary medicine and the love of nature.
Dr. Ashley currently resides at Nature's Place, raising beef cattle and also owns the Bonaire, Ga., Animal & Boarding Hospital located on Hwy. 96. He is offering the opportunity for many to share in the beauty that he has been able to enjoy for so many years at Nature's Place
